Being lifestyle s.r.o. (trading as Being Labs) wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people relying on assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.
Conformance target
This website targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and with the accessibility requirements set out in EN 301 549, which underpins the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).
Conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We do not claim full compliance.
What we have done
- Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) on every page, and a “skip to main content” link for keyboard users.
- Descriptive alt text on informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields with visible, programmatically associated labels.
- Accessible names on icon-only controls such as the mobile menu toggle.
- Visible keyboard focus states and a logical tab order.
- A colour palette reviewed for text/background contrast against WCAG AA thresholds.
Known limitations
We have not yet completed a full third-party audit of every page, including dynamically generated blog and solution pages. Some decorative gradients and dimmed secondary text may sit close to the AA contrast threshold in edge cases; we track these as known limitations rather than silently changing the brand palette. We are working through these as we find them.
